END OF PILOT TEST OF THE DMW MOBILE APPLICATION
The Pilot Test for the DMW Mobile App and the OFW Pass ends on September 29, 2023. The Pilot Test phase aimed at evaluating the functionality and performance of the DMW Mobile App, determine areas for improvements, assess the capacity of the DMW to manage the App, and generate recommendations on the next phase of the digitalization initiative of the Department.
While Implementing the necessary improvements to make is easier for OFWs to apply for and secure exit clearances and other services online, the DMW advices the public of the following:
- The Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) will continue to be a valid exit clearance for OFWs until further notice from the DMW.
- The OFW Pass will continue to be available to users from the ten (1) Pilot countries and the Philippines through the DMW App. The 10 Pilot Countries/territories are the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Singapore, Qatar, Oman, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, and United Kingdom.
- The DMW will be made available to more countries and territories in the future. The DMW will announce the expanded coverage after consultation with the Migrant Workers Offices (MWOs) and OFWs in the new countries.
- Similarly, the following online platforms for securing OECs/OFW Pass will continue to be available:

- OFWs may still apply for and secure their OFW Passes/OECs in person through DMW Office in the Philippines or through the MWOs.
